The Ports, Past and Present team invite the general public to free events celebrating work commissioned for our Creative Connections across the Irish Sea, and to the Fishguard premiere of our film At the Water’s Edge: Stories of the Irish Sea on 25 September at Theatr Gwaun.

On 25 September, as part of the On Land’s Edge festival, Theatr Gwaun will host Creative Connections, an event showcasing some of the works created by writers and artists who have been working with communities across the 5 ferry port towns.

Join PPP at 3pm for a special viewing of David Begley’s animated film The Wexford Whale, and for Peter Stevenson and Jacob Whittaker’s short film Uisce Dŵr Water. There will also be readings by the author Jon Gower from his upcoming book about the Irish Sea, and we’ll be launching a book of folk tales set around Fishguard and Goodwick.

At 5pm, PPP show At the Water’s Edge. The documentary was filmed across five ferry port communities around the Irish Sea, following local people with a passion for their town’s history and heritage.

Ymunwch â PDdH am 3yh ar gyfer arddangosiad arbennig o animeddiad gan David Begley The Wexford Whale, ac am ffilm fer Peter Stevenson a Jacob Whittaker: Uisce Dŵr Water. Ceir hefyd darlleniadau gan awdur Jon Gower o’i lyfr am Fôr Iwerddon, a lansiad llyfr chwedlau am Abergwaun ac Wdig.

Am 5yh, bydd PDdH yn dangos At the Water’s Edge. Ffilmiwyd y ffilm ddogfen ar draws pum cymuned porthladd fferi o gwmpas Môr Iwerddon, gan ddilyn pobl leol sy’n teimlo’n angerddol am hanes a threftadaeth eu tref.
