Creating Safer Space Café - UCP in South Sudan

In this Café session, Rosemary Okello-Orlale (Strathmore University, Kenya) introduced UCP in South Sudan, with contributions from the Creating Safer Space partner organisation Nonviolent Peaceforce. The discussion centred on the protection of women and young people in the context of the conflict in South Sudan. The session highlighted the effectiveness of Women Protection Teams in preventing sexual violence, and the effectiveness of Youth Protection Teams in preventing cycles of violence and retaliation amongst young people.
