Dr Kerrie Farrar runs an annual workshop at the Plant and Animal Genome meeting in San Diego every January. This workshop, co-chaired by Kankshita Swaminathan of Hudson Alpha, USA, brings together the international perennial bioenergy crop community. This has previously resulted in the Miscanthus genome publication and more recently USA-UK grant applications.
