Disgrifiad
This dataset contains microsatellite genotype data and derived clone membership information for individual trees sampled from 34 populations of European aspen (Populus tremula).
The dataset includes:
• Individual-level genotype data for each sampled tree, with allele sizes recorded across multiple microsatellite loci and population identifiers: aspen_micro_data.xlsx
• Derived clone membership summaries, showing the distribution and frequency of distinct genotypes (clones) within each population: aspen_hap_freq.xlsx
Together, these files allow reproduction of analyses of clonal structure, genetic diversity, and population differentiation presented in the associated study. The data may also support secondary analyses of clonal reproduction, population genetics, and conservation of P. tremula.
Genotype data are provided in spreadsheet format as exported from the original analysis workflow. Missing or uncertain values are retained as in the source data (e.g. coded values within the dataset).
Each row represents an individual tree, with columns corresponding to microsatellite loci in a fixed order. Allele sizes are recorded as numeric values. Missing data are coded as “999”. Population identifiers correspond to sampling locations defined in the associated publication.
This dataset is linked to the publication reporting analyses of clonal diversity across the sampled populations and is made available to support transparency, reproducibility, and reuse.
