This report demonstrates the overwhelmingly positive response from teachers and other educators to the professional learning provided by the Wales Collaborative for Learning Design (WCLD) in the areas of: learning design; 360° (immersive) technology; greenscreen; and AI. The data suggest significant immediate and lasting impact. The report presents analysis of quantitative and qualitative feedback from participants in the WCLD online learning labs, in-person learning technology labs and school-specific collaborations delivered between 2023 and 2025. Two phases of analysis are presented, immediately post-events and retrospective evaluation allowing time for reflection on the impact of the provision. The post-event evaluation spans across 11 sessions (4 in-person and 7 online), where 72 educators from primary, secondary, higher education, and other roles provided structured feedback on several aspects of the labs, including clarity of purpose, facilitation quality, materials, and perceived impact on practice. Descriptive analysis revealed overwhelmingly positive responses, with over 85% of respondents consistently selecting "Strongly Agree" across all domains. Spearman's Rank correlation identified strong associations between perceived knowledge enhancement, generation of new ideas, and the anticipated positive impact on teaching. In particular, participants who reported gaining new ideas were also most likely to report that the labs would positively influence their future teaching (p. 77). Kruskal-Wallis testing indicated a statistically significant difference in perceived impact by educator role. Apost hoc Dunn test confirmed that Primary School teachers rated the labs as significantly more impactful than their counterparts in Higher Education (p. 29). These insights suggest that the format and content of the labs may currently be more aligned with the needs of classroom practitioners in primary education. The retrospective evaluation furthers these findings, with 39 survey responses and 5 follow-up interviews providing a range of lasting impacts. Overall, a positive impact of the WCLD professional learning activities can be found across all three emerging technologies. Teachers reported increased use, focusing on the WCLD’s ability to make them see what technologies were available and how they could be used more effectively. A further impact was improved teacher confidence and understanding of how they might use each technology. Finally, teachers also outlined an overall positive impact on their teaching. Whilst significant immediate and lasting impact are reported throughout, recommendations to further enhance such impact are also listed. These focus on sector and subject-specific professional learning, as well as further follow-up support and continued access to emerging technologies. Finally, the Wales Collaborative for Learning Design highlights how these recommendations can be addressed and what the WCLD has to offer professional learning in Wales.
