Alexandra is a PhD student based between the departments of International Politics and Psychology at Aberystwyth University. She studied a BSc(Hons) International Politics and a MA (by research training) Postcolonial Politics at Aberystwyth University.
Previously, she interned for the David Davies Memorial Institute and Hampshire County Council. In 2019, she was a research assistant on 'Age of Emergency: Colonial Violence at the End of the British Empire' at the University of Virginia.
She is currently working as a research assistant on an URF funded project based at Aberystwyth University's Department of Education which looks at the experiences of single parents studying at UK universities.

For 2019/20, Alexandra was the department's Postgraduate Research representative for the Staff Graduate Consultative Committee and the university's Research Committee. She was the Postgraduate Representative for BISA's Emotion in Politics and International Relations Working Group and an academic representative during her undergraduate studies.
