One award per faculty is made to an individual (academic) who inspires students through their teaching and who meet some (or ideally all) of the following criteria.
> Inspires curiosity, creativity and a love of learning through teaching > Are innovative and dynamic in their teaching, for example: by introducing different types of assessment that empowers students to produce their best work > Creates an active and inclusive learning environment > Connects learning and assessment to real world problems and society
