Crynodeb

The use of sustainable legumes provides an opportunity to mitigate the effects of climate change and reduces pollution in the fragile area of the less favoured areas compared to conventional grassland agriculture. This paper discusses legume-based systems with enhanced diversity, sustainable utilization of the legume (Trifolium pratense, Lotus corniculatus, and Trifolium repens) and reduction of the environmental footprint (improving phosphorus-use efficiency in white clover and catechol oxidase in red clover).
