Four Movements / Pedwar Symudiad

This practice as research was a nine month, weekly process with Cyrff Ystwyth. Four participants created new works that we performed as one piece. The themes were diverse but offer examples of disability aesthetics. Assembly, ensemble and co-reaction in action were of significant import. Emerging from highly varied bodyminds in counterpoint with one another and with unswerving commitment to each other the work evidenced what Sara Ahmed has termed 'lively materiality' (2010, p.234). Following Mitchell and Snyder (2019) the work was made and performed in the spirit of 'ethical interdependency' (p.196).
