Crynodeb

A study focused on disease caused due to skin lesions through arsenic in drinking water in UK is discussed. The worst affected region was South East Asia, where disability adjusted life year (DALY) ranged from 6.2-26.5 per 2000 of populations. The study relied on limited exposure such as response data, relatively crude exposure data. The results from a large scale epidemiology study underway in Bangladesh should help to provide data to refine the estimate.
