In the dairy industry, feed costs represent one of the largest expenses, so it is essential that feed efficiency is enhanced and waste feed decreased in order to optimize production and profit. As milk producing capacities of high-yielding cows continue to increase, so will the difficulty in meeting their nutritional requirements.
