International Theatre Collection talk: A Jones

Allbwn ymchwil: Cyfraniad arall

Recently, I read a novel by a young, local Welsh novelist. It was called Naw Mis, translated as Nine Months. It was an investigation into, and an attempt to deal with, loss. It dealt with the experiences of both the one who was lost and those who were been left behind. It was a traditional novel in the sense that it accepted the religious and moral norms of twentieth first century Cardiganshire and made of them a framework for reconciliation. The framework of the novel proposed a creative methodology for processing loss at the most basic level, that is the loss of a child, and conversely, the loss of a parent. There was also the loss of life itself.
