abstract = "In this chapter, a description of different nonlinear estimation techniques, to enhance the estimation performance of the radar system, is given. We discuss some nonlinear adaptive estimation techniques along with the nonlinear extension of Kalman filter-based estimation techniques. The chapter proceeds with a description of the general radar signal model. Subsequently, the conventional batch processing estimation method is discussed. Next, the adaptive online nonlinear estimators and nonlinear estimators based on the Kalman filter are discussed. The chapter ends with a summary drawn from the discussion of the various adaptive online estimation techniques.",
