Crynodeb

The effectiveness and utility of time-of-flight measurements of ultrabroadband white light continua was demonstrated through nanostructured waveguides. Several critical points at which group velocity matching becomes possible between different modes were found. The results showed that higher modes were excited within the band-gap region when photonic crystals were embedded in the waveguides.
