Soil polluted with dyes, heavy metals, metalloids, and other potentially detrimental domestic and industrial materials and contaminants poses a significant threat to the colonization of several plant species. The removal of these potentially detrimental materials and other contaminants that have accumulated in anthropogenic soils in several substantially altered places is a critical issue. Hence, this chapter explores and reviews some recent publications dedicated to the application of sorbents (particularly magnetic sorbents) to plants, specifically for seed germination.
