A theatre performance output made with the researcher and research participant performers in Cyrff Ystwyth. This work was created in response to a person with learning and disabilities who wanted to make a dance-theatre work about her family, home and sense of identity. The work dealt with how a person with learning disabilities might express hopes for love, romance, and express desire. The piece interrogated issues of adult expectations and desires through the lens of the individual's disability which in terms of sexuality and relationship is constructed as delayed and immature. How might a person perceive themselves and possibilities for present and future relationships? How does a person with a learning disability construct a personal identity from within the frame of family and parental home rather than as an independant adult? The work seeks to continue previous engagements with self representation whilst reacting with the contemprary field of theatre and performance.
