Description
This event was organised as part of the Bath Spa University's Research Centre for Environmental Humanities lecture series in January 2024 on ecology in the Middle East. The event was organised to support and widen current understandings of ecology, history and environmental cultures in light of the environmental harm caused by the ongoing war in Gaza. Between 90 and 100 people attended the event on Zoom, which sparked questions and comments on the environmental consequences of war and participants reported increased interest in this topic, with statements such as "These voices and work is so important. Thank you all so much" and "Thank you to the speakers and organisers for creating this timely, reflective, respectful space- with a rich range of research approaches, personal and positioned".Period | 24 Jan 2024 |
