Member of the Historic Environment Group (Wales) Climate Change sub-group, Spatial Mapping steering group.The role of the steering group is to: * To develop active partnerships and identify areas of collaboration and to develop interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies to expand knowledge base and skills. * To work together to identify commonality of interest from which research agendas that could potentially benefit all parties within the wider sector can be set or established. * To promote and educate about the potential risks that climate change poses to heritage sector by using existing evidence. * To devise a common strategy for identifying risk and continue to refine the strategy as new datasets and methodologies become available. * To bring together datasets into a central structure and to identify avenues for wider data sharing as well as working together to actively resolve issues surrounding the access to data. * To identify gaps in knowledge and identify organisations or individuals which can provide expertise to fill these gaps. * To identify the specific outputs from current research and how best to share this knowledge with wider sector and public. * To work towards establishing a scale of impact from which both short term and longer term solutions can be derived. * To begin to ground truth results gathered to date by identifying specific geographical regions or specific site typologies from which case studies providing more detailed research can be undertaken. * To pool all current and existing knowledge of climate change into one structure that will work for the benefit of all.
