Description
I presented a paper (now published) at the AAG Annual Meeting on 23-27 March 2023 (Denver, Colorado) as part of a session titled "Seeping, leaching, drifting: contaminated earth and colonial violence" Organisers: Kali Rubaii (Purdue University), Mark Griffiths (Newcastle University), Mikko Joronen (Tampere University). The session focused on ecologies of war and the dynamics of power that produce ecologies that make people sick: toxic, carcinogenic and/or radioactive materials are extracted from the earth and re-distributed along colonial lines, seeping, leaching and drifting through the ground and air that sustains the lives of colonised people. Between 50-60 people attended the session between presenters and participants.| Period | 23 Mar 2023 → 27 Mar 2023 |
