Aberystwyth University’s English and Creative Writing Department designed a series of creative writing workshops (four workshops in both Arabic and English) as part of The Syria of Aberystwyth project to explore the notion of ‘imaginary homeland’ with the Syrian refugee community/Syrian diaspora experience in Aberystwyth and Ceredigion, and the ways in which the ‘imaginary homeland’ is altered or reshaped by the adopted country. The project is funded by The World's We Want Hub.
