The jury that asked the spirit world for a verdict - and other bizarre tales from the courtroom

Press/Media: Media contribution

Description

In this piece for the Conversation, I run through some of the most absurd jury cases in English and Welsh legal history. Included in this run-down are the infamous Ouija board and Vicky Pryce cases. As well as looking at these cases though I also take a look at the legal standard which is required to overturn a jury verdict for being too absurd.

This is a great piece for somebody wanting to find out the basic information in this area.
