Profile

Annabel started as postgraduate teacher in the School of Education in 2018 and took a lectureship in the summer of 2019. She has since demonstrated exceptional dedication to student support and engagement, winning an award for pastoral support in 2020 and being shortlisted for the Personal Tutor of the Year award in 2024 by Aberystwyth Students' Union.

Annabel is the scheme coordinator for the ‘BA Early Childhood Studies with Early Years Practitioner Status’ and works in collaboration with schools and early years settings in Ceredigion. Annabel teaches across the Undergraduate provision in the School of Education and contributes to the National MA in Education with colleagues from institutions across Wales.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Annabel oversees Employability coordination and Enterprise activities within the department, working closely with AU Careers to enhance students' professional development. She teaches a range of modules that assess both knowledge and practical skills, reflecting her personal and professional research interests.

In 2022, Annabel was appointed as an external examiner for Wrexham University, further expanding her role in academic quality assurance and curriculum development.

Annabel is also a member of the Collaborative Research Network for Curriculum and Pedagogy, where she contributes to ongoing research and publications.
