Research interests

Ben's research interests span across sustainability accounting, ESG, corporate governance, and auditing. His current PhD project is rooted in social and environmental accounting, exploring how accounting research can advance the achievement of the UN SDGs. Ben’s PhD explores the nature and scope of corporate reporting on the SDGs, focusing on how companies demonstrate their accountability and the use of SDGs reporting for impression management purposes, and the influence of executive psychological traits (CEO Narcissism) on corporate disclosure behaviour.
