Profile

Bethan's research focusses primarily upon heritage crime and victimisation. She is particularly interested in marginalised crime types, victimisation, and developing criminological theory.

One of her key contributions to the research field of heritage crime has been her PhD, the first of its kind to explore heritage crime in England and Wales through the lens of police practitioners, heritage professionals, and victims. A central development from this was a typology of heritage crime victims, which is heavily cited.
