Personal profile


Edore has a BSc in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Science from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also has a PhD in Computer Science from Aberystwyth University, UK with particular focus on the application of mobile technology in Agriculture. As part of his PhD, he developed a query technique which was implemented on a mobile application to help farmers access locally relevant information via mobile phones.

From 2019-23 he was a lecturer on the £2.4m ESF Advanced Media Production project which supported the Wales’ creative industries sector by training professionals and graduates to exploit new technologies in media production. The project was shortlisted for the 2021 Times Higher Education Awards 'Knowledge Exchange/Transfer Initiative of the Year'.

Research interests

Edore's research interests are around using mobile and sensor technology in the agricultural and environmental sectors.

In 2017 he was a member of a team of scientists from Aberystwyth University that were awarded an Aberystwyth University Research Fund (URF) Grant (£6000) to organise a conference/workshop titled “FoodSecNet"

He is a Co Investigator on an Aberystwyth University URF-ECR grant (£9,931.65) “Bio-Surveillance of Farm-Related Water Pollution” which started in October 2023. This project aims to assess and monitor the effects of farm-related pollutants on Welsh water bodies with the aim of creating an app and website that can help evidence-based decisions at both policy making and farm level.


He is the Project Lead on a World Food Forum Transformative Research Challenge grant sponsored by FAO and Wageningen University (£8,000)  “ ICT Enabled Avian Influenza Awareness” which started in April 2024. This project aims to bridge the knowledge gap of farmers about Avian Influenza via mobile phone technology.
