Profile
Edore has a BSc in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Science from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also has a PhD in Computer Science from Aberystwyth University, UK with particular focus on the application of mobile technology in Agriculture. As part of his PhD, he developed a query technique which was implemented on a mobile application to help farmers access locally relevant information via mobile phones.
He is a Lecturer at Aberystwyth University where he is involved with teaching and supervising students projects. He has over 20 years of experience developing ICT solutions for farmers including but not limited to mobile technology and sensing solutions. He is presently a Co-Investigator on a URF ECR grant from Aberystwyth University which is a multidisciplinary collaboration across the University to investigate the bio surveillance of environmental agricultural runoff using biosensors for a computer-generated model and application. This work has led to an Innovate UK funding in collaboration with industry partners for research within the area of sensor development to monitor diffuse environmental pollution from agricultural run-off of which he is the Principal Investigator.
He is the Project Lead on a World Food Forum Transformative Research Challenge grant “ ICT Enabled Avian Influenza Awareness” sponsored by FAO and Wageningen University. This project aims to bridge the gap of farmers about Avian Influenza Via mobile phone technology. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Additional information
- Edore won the Best PhD Project Paper Award at the Doctoral Consortium of the 6th International Conference on Cloud Computing Services Science, Rome, Italy; 23 -25th April, 2016. CLOSER 2017 - PreviousAwards (scitevents.org).
- From 2019-23 he was a lecturer on the £2.4m ESF Advanced Media Production project which supported the Wales’ creative industries sector by training professionals and graduates to exploit new technologies in media production. The project was shortlisted for the 2021 Times Higher Education Awards 'Knowledge Exchange/Transfer Initiative of the Year'.
