Current research project. China's contemporary industrial policy as geostrategic strategy.
Profile
Working between theory building and empirical research on contemporary processes in international political economy and governance formations. I have just recently gained a PhD in international politics working out of Aberystwyth University. My PhD utilised a re-worked application of early world-systems approaches to apply to a contemporary analysis of China's recent transformative processes across political, economic, technical and social fields. Working from a basis of complexity, contingency and temporal ordering, I am primarily interested in understanding extended geospatial ordering and contestation.
Teaching
Second year undergraduate module. Perspectives and Debates in International Relations.
