I studied and completed my FDSc in Agriculture at Aberystwyth University and then went onto achieve a BSc (hons) in Agriculture and further to that a MSc in Livestock Science. My undergraduate dissertation looked the prevalence of ketosis in dairy cows at pasture. My postgraduate dissertation was a part of the SMARTSILAGE project led by IBERS, looking at the effect silage chop length had on the production and behaviour of dairy cows. In between my studies I worked for a well renowned feed company as a dairy nutritionist. After completing my MSc I worked for the Welsh red meat levy board as Research and Development Officer. I now lecture on the first year agri-business modules and the agricultural industry module.
