Profile
Dr. Onyinyechukwu Durueke is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow at the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University, and Co-Director of the Centre for the International Politics of Knowledge. She also holds an academic position at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where she teaches courses on Peace, Conflict, and Security studies. Dr. Durueke has been a Norbert Elias Fellow at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF) in Germany and a Cadbury Fellow at the Centre for West African Studies (now the School of History and Cultures) at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She has received several international grants, enabling her to conduct extensive research in her field.
Her research interests lie in the broad areas of Gender, Peace and Security; Post-Conflict States; and Counterinsurgency.
