Praboda Rajapaksha is a Lecturer in Health Data Science at Aberystwyth University and a Data Scientist at HDUHB, NHS Wales. After completing her PhD in Computer Science at IP Paris, she joined the same institute as a postdoctoral research fellow. She obtained her M.Eng. in Computer Science from AIT, Thailand, her M.Sc. in Communication Networks and Services from IMT, France, and her B.Eng. in Computer Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. With over nine years of research experience, she has established herself as an expert in data science. She has been actively involved in various European projects (ITEA, BPI, Horizon) and French national initiatives (FUI) and is currently leading a UKRI EPSRC project. Recently, she initiated an innovative collaboration with HDUHB to implement Patient Digital Twin (PDT) technology to transform healthcare delivery across West and mid-Wales.
Her research interests include Data science, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, AI and Machine learning, and Digital Twin Technologies
