Abstract

Head and neck cancer is one of the most common causes of difficult airway. Due to the special location of the tumor, the local adhesion of the tumor, the extensive adhesion of the neck tissue, and the compression of the tumor on the trachea often lead to the neck. The anatomical landmarks are unclear and the trachea is displaced. Therefore, patients often have clinical manifestations of ventilatory dysfunction, and some may even have sleep-disordered breathing [1]. Different studies have shown that head and neck tumors increase the probability of sleep apnea in patients ranging from 8% to 92% [2]. Many patients with head and neck cancer are diagnosed with sleep-disordered breathing (3-5). This fully illustrates the head and neck associated with sleep disordered breathing
