Abstract

ISO/TR 18492 is a technical report from the International Organization for Standardization which provides a framework for developing a long-term preservation strategy for digital material. Such a strategy should ensure that required material is: maintained; remains accessible; and retains its integrity through both hardware and software obsolescence and the degradation of storage media.
