Abstract
PREMIS data dictionary for preservation metadata, version 2.0 defines a data model and a core set of metadata elements, to support digital preservation activities. An accompanying schema allows the elements to be consistently expressed in XML The dictionary can be broadly applied across disciplines, and deals with a number of practical application issues.
