OtherThe "International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Automation in Space (i-SAIRAS)" is organised every two years by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA-ASC) , the German Aerospace Agengy (DLR), the European Space Agency (ESA), the Japanese Aerospace eXploration Agency (JAXA) and the National Aerospace Administration (NASA) of the United States of America.
i-SAIRAS is the primary gathering event for the international community of professionals working in the applications in space of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation and Robotics (A&R).

At every edition the conference venue changes continent (America, Asia and Europe).
Following the previous meetings held in Kobe (Japan 1990), Toulouse (France 1992), Pasadena (USA 1994), Tokyo (Japan 1997), Noordwijk (The Netherlands 1999), Montreal (Canada 2001), Nara (Japan 2003), Munich (Germany 2005), Hollywood (USA, 2008), Sapporo (Japan, 2010) i-SAIRAS 2012 is the 11th in this series of international symposia.
The symposium will take place in Turin, Italy from September 4 to September 6, 2012.
