Abstract

This paper reports the pattern of gamma-radioactivity in the flora and fauna of inter-tidal and terrestrial ecosystems of the Isle of Mingulay in the Western Isles (Outer Hebrides) of Scotland. It describes the comparative concentrations in organisms and confirms the nature of bioaccumulation through trophic levels.
