Abstract

When compared to conventional methods, the use of magnetic nanomaterials (MNMs) in pollution analysis holds great promise and presents a number of benefits. Owing to the distinctive capacity of MNMs for selective adsorption and effortless separation resulting from surface modification, stability, cost-effectiveness, availability, and biodegradability, they have significantly enhanced the extraction of various analytes from agricultural products. Conversely, conventional techniques use many organic solvents that are harmful to the environment and require longer extraction processes. Hence, the contemporary applications of MNMs and their modifications in the removal of contaminants are the main focus of this introductory chapter.
