A located dance, aerial and vocal performance in a tree. A socially engaged residency in the public space of St. George's Gardens, Bloomsbury, over a period of 3 weeks. Culminating in five two hour performances over 3 days.
Calling Tree is a gentle provocation that through live performance in trees encourages people to engage physically with their natural urban environment and to consider their relationships to it.
Originally commissioned by Migrations Wales for a tree on Cae Llan, Betws y Coed 2014. Calling Tree was an invited work for the June 2016 LIFT Festival, Bruce Grove Park, Tottenham. Most recently as part of the Bloomsbury Festival London, October 2016.
