Abstract

The authors would like to correct the linear dose rate attenuation coefficient (μ) for U beta radiation in granite (given in Table 3 on p. 8 in v. 133, 106295). The correct line for U in Table 3 is: [Table presented] Please note that the values for f, z and the attenuation coefficient for gamma radiation are not affected by this adjustment. This correction does not affect the results or conclusion reported in the article, but we would like to ask the reader to use this corrected dose rate attenuation coefficient for U beta radiation in granite when calculating dose rates for their cobbles. Should the reader be interested in applying the attenuation coefficient provided in the supplementary material for using a single exponential fit for U beta dose rate attenuation in granite, then we would like to ask the reader to use 2.94 ± 0.21, instead of the attenuation coefficient provided in the supplementary material of the original paper. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
