Abstract

A novel data analysis technique inspired by the human immune system AIS (the artificial immune system) is examined. For this purpose, a reworked and improved theoretical foundation of the artificial immune system algorithm, that gives good quality results with benchmark data, is introduced. The effectiveness of the IAS and its visualization as an aid to the data mining and knowledge discovery processes is discussed.
