Abstract

Using Habana Blues and Lejania I intend to show how the transnational process in Cuban cinema post special period has changed the perception of exile and migration and that the filmic viewpoint of exile and migration is now much more nuanced in presenting a changing social order in Cuba that now has to increasingly look outwards to foreign partners in all aspects of life.
