Abstract

Aberystwyth Business School (ABS) has continually worked to align its teaching and learning strategy to ensure students are ‘employment ready’. This has involved initially reviewing undergraduate and postgraduate portfolios, ensuring key employability themes run through each module with curricula adjustments and new modules and programmes of study being implemented to provide students with highly relevant workplace ‘employability pathways’. The focus of this case study relates to the undergraduate dissertation module and related challenges around ensuring it appeals to students alongside developing appreciation of relevancy to their employability.
