How do we think about the world?

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This is the introductory chapter to the fourth edition of the highly popular Routledge textbook for International Relations, 'Global Politics' (London: Routledge, 2024). It uses Indigenous thinking to explore ideas of ontology and epistemology, and to demonstrate that regimes of knowledge and understanding can be very different indeed from the dominant Western mode of thinking, and indeed that they are equally valid. This introduces students to pluriversal thinking and opens students' minds to different ways of being and thinking.
