Intergovernmental relations on UK-EU policy: Analysis in the context of the promised EU reset Briefing Paper

This briefing paper draws on our research into the operation of the machinery for intergovernmental cooperation following the introduction of new intergovernmental relations (IGR) arrangements in 2022 and with a particular interest in UK-EU relations following the UK’s withdrawal from the EU and in the context of the UK Government’s relationship with the Scottish and Welsh Governments. It is also informed by a roundtable event organised in partnership with the Institute of Government on 14 May 2025.
