title = "Las construcciones verbales de T{\'a}nger: tres ejemplos de la narrativa espa{\~n}ola",
abstract = "This article explores the narrative constructions of three of the most representative novels of twentieth-century Tangier: Se enciende y se apaga una luz (1962), Don Juli{\'a}n (1970) and El {\'u}ltimo verano en T{\'a}nger (2000). These novels show the disparity between the city as a 'locus agrestis' and 'locus amoenus'. Through the representation of the multicultural space the concepts of identity, poverty, social class, sexuality and espacialidad are being challenge and redefined. These three novels have in common the relationship between the colonial place and the interpretation of its personal historicity.",
