Abstract

We review the results of article [1], where we gave a mathematically rigorous proof that the rotated quadrature observables 1/√2/(e -iθa + ea*) of a single mode electromagnetic field can be determined in the so called "high amplitude limit" of the balanced homodyne detection. In the proof, we used the moment operators of observables actually measured by the detector; the high amplitude limit was described by certain limits of a sequence (E n)n∈N of such observadles.
