Abstract

This is the archive of videos from the Port Voices collection. These stories are based on audio recordings of interviews conducted by Dr. Rita Singer of Ports, Past and Present and Polly Vinken from Mother Goose Films in preparation for the documentary films produced by the project (see the relevant sub-collection). They feature a series of community members telling their stories of port life.

The sound clips are accompanied by slides featuring images used to tell the story of the ports during film production on the Omeka content management system. Metadata is derived from custom Dublin Core generated using the Curatescape plugin and theme, combined with the original edited audio clips in mp3 format.
