Relatos y correlatos textiles sobre reconciliación en Colombia

This project exhibition took place in the gallery space of the Casa de la Cultura Confiar, Medellin, Colombia, from 7 May to 1 December 2022. The exhibition showed preferred stories and emerging narratives embroidered by FARC peace signatories, their families and new neighbours, collected in 90 textile pieces gathered in a series of 11 textile books: Journeys, Longing, Re-encounters, Roots, Confidence, Transformations, Commitments, Small Stitches, Hopes, Uncertainties, and Weaving of Resonances. These textiles were exhibited together with textile resonances, i.e. responses to the stories of the peace signatories, by people from the community of the Apartadó and Medellín, as well as resonances in audiovisual format from the perspective of people in Spain, Chile and the United Kingdom.
