Abstract

Counterfeit medicine is a major problem in today's world. There are many existing methods which are effective in lab environment and mostly are too sophisticated to be used by untrained health workers in the field. We present an application specific instrumentation principle inspired system for fake medicine detection. This is based on a crude spectroscope and cloud based analytics tools. We call it Speky! We demonstrate the working of the system with a good success rate.
