Abstract
This paper outlines the benefits of the 2000 PACRIM II NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) AIRSAR campaign to Australia in terms of understanding the potential opportunities of polarimetric SAR for quantifying the above ground biomass, structure and floristic composition of mixed species forests typical to semi-arid regions.
