Abstract
The book brings an 'international society' perspective to understanding the nature of the vulnerable. Starting from a 'social vulnerability' point of view, it demonstrates the ways in which international society contributes to the creation of the vulnerable (through its own concepts and categories) in the fields of political violence, climate change, human movement, and global health.
