Trefigin Quarry Sedimentology Report

Cware Trefigin as a long established sand and gravel quarry situated near Morninton in North Pembrokeshire (NGR 213 243). As part of a planning application to extend the quarry to the south, there is a stipulation that a sedimentological study be made of the new quarry faces as they are developed and this report is a consequence of that obligation.
Extraction started in the spring of 2013 developing two new faces, see figure 1, and a study of these faces was undertaken on the weekend of June 22nd/23rd 2013.
